MINDFULNESS FOR EMPOWERED CHANGE IN OUR LIVES

What does ‘mindful’ even mean? With ‘conscious’, they get thrown around all over the place… but still these words, these practises are absolutely essential to living a life of presence, purpose and healing the world we live in and are the inner values and practises that compassionate living revolves around.

With our mind thinking around 80,000 thoughts per day, most of them the same ones again and again, we can easily get dragged down the path of habit, where we take action from the pre-programmed shows our mind is airing for us. But living like this, we can repeat old mistakes, as individuals and collectively as societies, and sometimes wonder, how did we get here? Or feel like we are going through the motions and not really feeling satisfied or connected truly to those around us (or our self) as we move through our day/week/years. This is an indication we are not creating space to BE, to observe the gazillion stories or conclusions the mind makes in any moment and then witness them unattached. To remove the grasp of the mind and preconceived beliefs, often borrowed from our past generations, and find the space to be truly conscious.
